Lone Star Adjustable Quilt Skirt, 36”-39”

I made this skirt out of a Lone Star quilt that had seen better days. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found it! It had been so beautifully made, but the quilting stitches had come apart from years of love, which caused the batting inside to bunch together quite a lot. I felt like this quilt needed me! So I seam ripped all the rest of the quilting to free the quilt top from the backing sheet. There was so much balled-up batting... But afterwards, with the addition of three JNCO buttons, some interfacing, and a lot of time, this quilt that had been so beautifully made years ago is getting a second life as an adjustable circle skirt waiting to be taken on adventures! 🌟

Waistband is 36”-39” with three buttons and a zipper closure. On smallest size adjustment (36"), zipper stays open and skirt overlaps to fasten. On largest size adjustment (39"), zipper is closed to fasten.
Skirt length is 33”.
Minor imperfections throughout outer and inner layers, including a small burn hole and a blue paint splotch.
